BIGGS, CA — On Friday, July 20, 2018, Mike Hall will follow a proud tradition dating back when Benjamin Franklin was the first Postmaster General of the United States.
Hall will raise his right hand to take the official oath of office as the new Biggs Postmaster at a 2:00 p.m. ceremony at the Biggs Post Office located at 2994 6th Street, Biggs, CA 95917. Post Office Operations Manager Matthew Valdivia will administer the official oath of office.
Hall began his U.S. Postal Service career in 2005 as a rural carrier assistant in Chico, CA. In 2013, he began his management career supervising carriers and clerks in Chico.
“I feel honored to be able to represent the Postal Service in this way,” Hall said. “I have worked hard to get here and I plan to follow in the footsteps of the postmasters before me and serve this great community to the best of my ability.”
Hall is married to his wife, Denise Hall. They have two sons, Jayson, 9 and Bentley, 2. Hall enjoys boating, camping, fishing, golfing and coaching his sons in Little League.
As Biggs Postmaster, Hall oversees on average, 5,000 pieces of daily mail deliveries which include mail delivered to 1200 Post Office boxes in Biggs, CA and Richvale, CA. Hall also manages five employees.
