LA HONDA, CA — On Friday, July 27, 2018 Bonnie Ulrick will follow a proud tradition dating back to 1873 when A. Sausman was appointed the first Postmaster

Ulrick will raise her right hand to take the official Oath of Office as the Postmaster of La Honda at a noon ceremony at the La Honda Post Office, 8865 La Honda Road, La Honda, CA 94020. The ceremony will be held on the patio adjacent to the Post Office.

Ulrick began her Postal Service career 10 years ago as a clerk at the Pescadero Post Office. She served as the officer-in-charge in Loma Mar and Pescadero, serving for two years at each Post Office.

“It is an honor to hold the title of Postmaster,” said Ulrick. “My goals are to make the Post Office a productive part of this small but wonderful community.”

Ulrick resides in Loma Mar, CA. She has two daughters, Monica, 38, and SteVee, 35, and a grandson, Mason, 6.

Ulrick enjoys hanging out on the beautiful beaches and playing with her grandson.

In efforts to assist her community, Ulrick has worked the Crab Cioppino Feed that benefits the La Honda fire brigade, and is running as a board member of the brigade.

As Postmaster of La Honda, Ulrick administers the duties of three employees responsible for retail and delivery operations to 243 delivery stops and 592 P.O. Boxes.

Manager of Post Office Operations Bobbie Riley will administer the official oath of office.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
