SHASTA COUNTY, CA — Two U.S. Post Offices in Shasta County have been temporarily closed due to wildfires in the area. They include French Gulch Post Office, 14200 Main St., French Gulch, CA 96033 and Shasta Post Office, located at 15430 State Highway 299 W, Shasta, CA 96087.

French Gulch and Shasta postal customers can pick up their mail at the Downtown Redding Post Office, 1647 Yuba St., Redding, CA 96001. Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday.

Customers are reminded to bring proper photo ID in order to make mail and package pickups.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
