Shasta Lake, Summit City & Project City Post Offices Closed

SHASTA COUNTY, CA — Three U.S. Post Offices in Shasta County have been temporarily closed due to wildfires in the area. They include Shasta Lake Post Office, 4425 Front Street, Shasta Lake, CA 96019, Project City Post Office, 1985 Cascade Blvd., Shasta Lake, CA 96019 and Summit City Post Office, 13701 Hill Blvd., Shasta Lake, CA 96089.

Shasta Lake, Summit City and Project City postal customers can pick up their mail at the Redding Main Post Office, 2323 Churn Creek Road, Redding, CA 96002. Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Customers are reminded to bring proper photo ID in order to make mail and package pickups.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
