Cy Hoblitt to be Sworn in as Soulsbyville Postmaster

SOULSBYVILLE, CA — On Thursday, October 4, 2018, Cy Hoblitt will follow a proud tradition dating back when Benjamin Franklin was the first Postmaster General of the United States.

Hoblitt will raise his right hand to take the official oath of office as the new Soulsbyville Postmaster at a 1:00 p.m. ceremony at the Soulsbyville Post Office, 20489 Willow Springs Drive, Soulsbyville, CA 95372. Post Office Operations Manager Sal Cardinal will administer the official oath of office.

Hoblitt began his U.S. Postal Service career in 1998 as a clerk in Pinecrest, CA. He has also worked as a clerk in Copperopolis, CA and began supervising clerks and carriers while working in Groveland, CA.

“I feel honored to be able to represent the Postal Service in this way,” Hoblitt said. “My goal is to give the people of Soulsbyville the best quality service they deserve.”

Hoblitt has one daughter, Haley, 25. His parents are Cy Hoblitt and Jeannie Hoblitt. His stepmother is Barbara Hoblitt and his girlfriend is Dawn Brennan.

As Soulsbyville Postmaster, Hoblitt supervises four employees. He oversees one rural route and 738 Post Office box deliveries.
