Frank Bustos

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — On Friday, October 19, 2018, Frank Bustos. will follow a proud tradition dating back when Benjamin Franklin was the first Postmaster General of the United States.

Bustos will raise his right hand to take the official oath of office as the new Woodland Hills Postmaster at an 11:00 a.m. ceremony at the Woodland Hills Post Office, 6101 Owensmouth Avenue, Woodland Hills, CA 91367. Post Office Operations Manager Mary Bream will administer the official oath of office.

Bustos began his U.S. Postal Service career in 2000 as casual carrier in Northridge, CA. In 2001, he began supervising clerks and carriers while working in Burbank, CA. In 2017 he became manager of customer services in Panorama City, CA and in September 2018 he was awarded his current designation of postmaster of Woodland Hills, CA.

“I feel honored to be able to represent the Postal Service in this way,” Bustos said. “I equate being a postmaster to being the coach of a team. As team coach, I set the tone and must lead by example. My greatest responsibility is to ensure the safety of my team by encouraging them to work safely so as to get back to their families in that same manner. My second responsibility is to the community of Woodland Hills and Calabasas. The word service is the last word in our name, but it is my first duty to the residents of this fine city. I will ensure that my team of expertly trained employees provide stellar customer service to each and every person that walks through our doors.”

Bustos is married to his wife, Ana Maria. They have one daughter, Nicolle. His mother is Aura Bustos. His siblings are Guillermo, Grace and Giovanna.

Bustos loves to travel, especially to Las Vegas, go cycling and watch TV. He enjoys going to the beach and amusement parks. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Phoenix, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management.

As Woodland Hills Postmaster, Bustos oversees 87 city and rural routes which average over 43,000 city and rural daily mail deliveries. In addition, Woodland Hills and Calabasas services over 2,500 Post Office Boxes daily. Bustos manages 172 employees.
