LOS ANGELES — Due to non-delivery of mail because of mandatory evacuations, customers in Malibu and Topanga can pick-up mail at designated post offices. The Malibu Post Office remain to be temporarily closed and Topanga Post Office will reopen at noon today.
Malibu Postal customers can pick up their mail at the following location:
- Los Angeles Main Post Office, 7101 S. Central Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90001. Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
Effective today November 16, 2018, Topanga residents may pick up their mail at the Topanga Post Office beginning at 12:00 p.m.; Saturday hours of operation will be extended from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. November 17, 2018 only. At this time, all retail services remain suspended until further notice.
Effective Monday, November 19, 2018, the Topanga Post Office will resume normal business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, for mail pick up only.
Customers are reminded to bring proper photo ID in order to obtain their mail.
Street delivery has resumed in some areas. It will be curtailed only if roads are closed due to wildfires or air quality worsens. Please call (323) 586-1460 to hear the latest information regarding where mail can be picked up or when mail delivery will resume. As new information becomes available, messaging will be updated.
The Postal Service is monitoring the wildfire areas and adjusting its operations in accordance with the needs of fire services.
