The United States Postal Service showcases Sally Ride Forever Stamp. The USPS will be an exhibitor at the 2018 Novato Space Festival hosted by the Novato Space Station Museum. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Sally Ride Forever stamps and get free stamp cancellations. Attendees will meet real Astronauts and explore various interactive exhibits. Admission and parking is free to the community. |

Backgrounder:
The Sally Ride Forever Stamp celebrates Ride’s 1983 launch through Earth’s atmosphere aboard the Challenger space shuttle making her America’s first woman in space. Dr. Ride’s six day journey in space proved to the world below that women were just as adept as their male counterparts in the final frontier. Her dedication to science continued through teaching as well as co-founding an organization that focused on fostering interest in STEM areas especially for girls.
