DENVER, CO - Besides local Post Offices and postal contract stations, residential and business customers throughout the country can now go to almost 1,083 Office Depot stores nationwide for convenient U.S. Postal Service shipping and stamps. These convenient locations include 40 Office Depot stores in Colorado, 2 in Wyoming, and 4 in Montana. (See list for Office Depot stores/addresses in these three states offering select U.S. Mail shipping services and products.)
U.S. Postal Service shipping services and mailing products now available at these Office Depot stores include Priority and Express Mail service, Parcel Post service, Delivery Confirmation service, Signature Confirmation service, and regular First Class U.S. postage stamps. In addition, free Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes are available at these locations.
Priority Mail Flat-Rate Boxes are one of the most economical and popular package shipping options for consumers and businesses alike. Using Flat-Rate boxes, customers pay one-low rate for mailing to any state with the package weighing up to 70 lbs, as long as the package contents fit inside the box. In addition, there are no surcharges when shipping with the U.S. Postal Service.
Effective Aug. 16, 2010, most Office Depot stores nationwide are offering the U.S. mail shipping services and products noted above. In-store signage will direct customers to Postal Service products at the store shipping center. Pickup of mail and packages will be done by a Postal Service letter carrier once a day at that Office Depot location at a scheduled time during the afternoon hours.
Office Depot is the first national retailer to offer Postal Service shipping products and services. “We’re excited to extend some of the best shipping values in the country to Office Depot customers, at a time and place that is convenient to them,” says Paul Vogel, national USPS president, Mailing and Shipping Services. “Small businesses will especially be able to compare shipping companies side by side and see for themselves that Postal Service prices are very competitive and affordable.”

A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation, 150 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no direct support from taxpayers. With 36,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, the Postal Service relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses. Named the Most Trusted Government Agency five consecutive years and the sixth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $68 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail. If it were a private sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 28th in the 2009 Fortune 500.
