DENVER, CO — The U.S. Postal Service today recognized DISH Network, headquartered in Englewood, CO, with its Corporate Business Achievement Award for the company’s commitment to a successful business partnership with the Postal Service. DISH Network was one of a select group of postal customers acknowledged and recognized for their contributions to the continued success of the mailing industry at the National Postal Forum.
The Corporate Business Achievement Award is one of three “best in class” awards presented annually at the Forum, and recognizes customers who have used postal products and services to deliver value and to help strengthen and grow their businesses. They are committed to producing winning results and these awards honor that commitment.
Established in March 1996, DISH Network is a leader in satellite television technology and High Definition (HD) programming, and currently serves more than 14.3 million customers. DISH Network was recognized for using USPS First-Class Mail for the customer shipping and customer return mailing of its very important Smart Cards, which are contained in DISH Network equipment used by its cable customers.
This mailing solution provided several benefits — ease of use for the customers, higher return of the cards and lower expenses. With this success, DISH Network has implemented other mailing programs for its shipping needs. They have taken advantage of USPS cubic pricing for their remote controls, and are testing Parcel Return Service for returned equipment. All of its mailing products have focused on enhancing the customer service experience and have brought value to both DISH Network and USPS.
DISH Network was one of only 23 business and organizational mailers nationwide - selected out of thousands – which received the Corporate Business Achievement Award. Others included eBay, CIGNA, General Electric Company, Office Depot, State Farm Insurance, USAA and Verizon Communications.
“We are pleased to recognize and honor DISH Network for its innovation, creativity and leadership,” said U.S. Postal Service Western Area Vice President of Operations Sylvester Black. “In earning this national Corporate Business Achievement Award, DISH Network has produced winning business results which support the mailing industry.”
The National Postal Forum is the mailing industry’s largest trade show and networking event for industry professionals. Since 1968, it has provided business mailers with ongoing training and education, and helped them keep pace with the mailing industry’s rapid progress. Held once a year in the spring, the Forum is a combination educational conference/trade show offering a wide range of opportunities for attendees. For more information, visit www.npf.org.
