SAN FRANCISCO The U.S. Postal Service today recognized PostNet International Franchise Corporation with its Mail Innovation Award for their support of the success of mail and its commitment to a successful business relationship with the Postal Service.

PostNet was one of 21 companies recognized this year by the Postal Service at the National Postal Forum (NPF), which, for more than 40 years, has been recognized as the premier educational trade show for the mailing industry.

“We are pleased to recognize and honor PostNet for its innovation, creativity and leadership,” said USPS Western Area Vice-President Drew Aliperto, who nominated PostNet for the award. “By working closely with the Postal Service to develop strategic business solutions, PostNet has produced winning results, which supports the mailing industry.”

The Mail Solutions Award, presented annually at NPF, recognizes Postal Service customers who have implemented innovative mailing solutions. Winning companies embrace new technologies and implement best practices to improve efficiency and productivity in mail operations.

Headquartered in Denver, CO, PostNet has evolved from its origins as a mail and parcel store and is today a full-service Neighborhood Business Center, providing small business owners with relevant services and supporting economic growth in communities across the country.

In 2011, USPS representatives met with PostNet to explore how Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) could help each franchise store owner advertise individual services and grow their business. The company created a series of templates and marketing ideas for franchises to sell EDDM to local businesses. PostNet also created a dedicated intranet site and step-by-step instructions on how to grow Direct Mail.

“PostNet is a leader in embracing this exciting new product,” said Aliperto. “It took a combination of postal knowledge and innovative thinking to achieve this level of success in the industry.”
