CANON CITY, CO — The partial containment of the Royal Gorge fire has allowed for mail delivery to be restored for the nearly 480 addresses that couldn’t be reached because of road closures and evacuations.
All delivery for addresses along West Highway 50 and Highway 9 will see resumed service, assuming roads are accessible. All accumulated mail will be delivered.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
