CARSON CITY - The public is invited to the official installation for Carson City Postmaster Heidi Clark at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2016.
The ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. in the entryway of the Carson City Post Office at 1111 S. Roop St..
She is Carson City’s 27th Postmaster and the first female to have been promoted to the position.
Clark will be officially sworn in as Postmaster by Nevada-Sierra District Manager Belinda Olson.
Governor Brian Sandoval is expected to attend, as are representatives from Congressional, Senate and local government offices.

The Carson City Post Office has 87 employees. Each week, approximately 600,000 pieces of mail are delivered to more than 29,500 businesses and homes.
Clark began her career in 1999 as a clerk in Salt Lake City. She entered a supervisory training program in 2007 and most recently served as station manager for the South Salt Lake City, UT, station.
“I am thrilled with the area, the residents and the warm embrace I’ve received from Carson City,” said Clark. “The employees here have a reputation for service that will only continue to get better and better.”
