DURANGO, CO – Due to road closures and emergency conditions as a result of the Lightner Creek Fire, the Postal Service is unable to make deliveries to approximately 800 addresses.

The impacted areas include Rafter J, Junction Creek, Crestview, Rockridge, County Roads 206, 207 & 208.

The mail for these addresses only will be held at the local Post Office located at 222. W 8th Street. Impacted customers should bring identification to the retail window to receive their mail.

Future delivery decisions will be made after consulting with local emergency managers.

The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
