HARTFORD — Postal officials report that all Post Offices will be open New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31st but many will adjust retail lobby hours by closing at noon. There will be regular Thursday delivery of mail through all regional post offices.
In Hartford, the Ann Street Station (185 Ann Street) will be closed all day while Unity Plaza (271 Bourbon Street), Blue Hills Station (433 Woodland Street) and Barry Square (645 Maple Street) will open from 9 am to noon only.
All other Hartford facilities, including the Main Post Office on Westin Street, will be open regular hours.

On January 1, all Post Offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery, except for the delivery of Express Mail.
Post offices will reopen with full window service and mail delivery on Saturday, January 2, 2010.
For customer convenience, access to the 24-hour self-service postal stations known as Automated Postal Centers offer shipping services and zip code look-ups, with recent upgrades that permit post office box payments.
Automated Postal Centers (APCs) offer a Spanish-language option for all transactions.
Connecticut APCs are located in Bridgeport, Danbury, Enfield, Fairfield, Glastonbury, Greenwich (Greenwich Avenue Station, Greenwich Postal Store), Hamden, Hartford, Manchester, Milford, New Canaan, New Haven, Newington, Southbury, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, West Hartford and Wilton.
