Greenwich, CT — The Greenwich Post Office, currently located at 310 Greenwich Avenue, will move to 44 Amogerone Crossway on Saturday, March 10th. The office will open at 9 a.m. on March 12th in the new location.

< Customers can use the Greenwich Avenue location until 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 10th.  The Automated Postal Center located in the lobby will move to the new location on March 8th and will not be available for use until March 12th.

Retail window hours at the new location will stay the same, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.  The Post Office lobby, the Automated Postal Center and access to PO Boxes will be available 24/7. Customers will not need to change their address and all PO Box numbers will remain the same.  However, all current Post Office Box customers will need to pick up a new key at the Amogerone location to access their PO Box.  There are also Post Office Boxes available for rent at the new location for customers who do not currently have a box and may be interested in using this service.

“We are very excited about moving to our new location,” said Greenwich Postmaster Franz Lauture, “It’s convenient to our customers and offers a bright new lobby with better parking.”

The new location will offer easier parking and is located only a few blocks from the present Post Office.  The Greenwich Avenue building was sold for $15 million last year. The mural in the lobby is being refurbished and will be relocated to a new home in the Greenwich community when restoration is complete and a suitable location is found.
