Up To $25,000 Reward

On Saturday, December 6, 2014, at approximately 11:00 am a postal letter carrier was robbed while delivering mail at the PT Barnum Housing Project located at 136 Saint Stephens Road Bridgeport, CT 06605.

The suspect was described as an African American male with a medium brown complexion; late teen’s to Early 20’s; 5’5”-5’6” with a medium build.  He was described as wearing a light gray colored hooded sweatshirt and armed with a sawed-off shotgun.

Armed robbery of a postal employee carries a penalty of up to 25 years imprisonment.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the armed robbery of the letter carrier.

Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service 24-hour toll-free number at 1-877-876-2455 (option 2) or the Bridgeport Police Department at (203) 581-5100.
