Background:

After serving his country in Beirut and Grenada with the United States Navy, Ted Goonan began his career with the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1986. In 1988, he was promoted to his first management job as a Supervisor in Springfield. A promotion in 2000 led Ted to his first Postmaster position in Northampton, MA. When the Massachusetts and Connecticut Districts were combined, Ted was promoted to the Senior Manager of Post Office Operations in 2006.  Over the years, Ted has demonstrated his abilities and willingness to take on new responsibilities, by holding down successful details in multiple Districts from Albany manager of Postal Operations, Station Manager in New Haven, CT, OIC in Springfield, MA, Post Office Operations in CT and Plant manager in both Stamford, CT and Shrewsbury, MA. In 2015, Ted graduated from the Managerial Leadership Program.  He also holds a Green Belt in the Lean Six Sigma program. Ted and his wife Christine have two sons, Anthony and Michael.
