Tampa, FL. – For as little as the price of a First-Class postage stamp, souvenir hunters can obtain a memento of Super Bowl XLIII courtesy of the Tampa Post Office.
“We are thrilled to offer our customers these collectible envelopes and postmarks to celebrate the Super Bowl’s return to Tampa Bay,” Tampa Postmaster Nancy Fryrear said. “These special envelopes will be prized by stamp collectors and football fans around the country as unique mementos of Super Bowl XLIII.” A special Super Bowl Postmark is also available.
The colorful envelopes come in three designs – one features facing helmets of the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburg Steelers with the official Super Bowl XLIII log in front of Raymond James Stadium; the others feature individual photos of each team’s starting quarterback and leading pass receiver (Ben Roethlisberger/Hines Ward – Kurt Warner/Larry Fitzgerald ). Each envelope, protected inside a clear plastic sleeve, features a Forever stamp and Super Bowl postmark. The price for the collectible envelopes is $10 each.
A variety of matted artwork combined with the envelopes, ready for framing, is also available for $20.
In addition, all these affordable souvenirs are available via mail order, while supplies last. Orders must include customer’s return address, phone number, quantity of each item requested and a check or money order payable to “Postmaster” for the proper amount plus shipping and handling in the amount of $2 for orders up to $16 or $6 for orders totaling over $19. Orders for the envelopes and matted artwork with envelopes must be postmarked by Feb. 27, 2009 and sent to: USPS SB43 PRODUCTS, TAMPA MAIN POST OFFICE, P O BOX 39831, TAMPA FL 33630-9831.
Special postmarks will be available by mail for 30 days following the game. Customers should place stamped, addressed envelopes inside a larger envelope and mail them to: FOOTBALL POSTMARK, C/O POSTMASTER, P O BOX 39831, TAMPA FL 33630-9831. All requests must be mailed by March 3, 2009.
