Naples, FL — The Naples Main Post Office located at 1200 Goodlette Road North will be open until 8:00 pm on April 15th to assist you with the mailing of your income tax papers.
Paying with a debit or credit card? The Automated Postal Center (APC) will be available to purchase postage for your tax returns, and you can add certified mail service and return receipt if a signature upon delivery is desired.
All mail deposited in the collection boxes at the following locations prior to midnight will be cancelled with the required April 15th date; 1200 Goodlette Road North and the Coco River Branch located at 1130 Creekside Way.
The Post Office would also like to remind you of several other important detail in mailing your tax returns:
The IRS will not accept mail that does not have sufficient postage applied. If you mail your tax return in a large envelope additional posted is required, even if the envelope only weighs an ounce. The minimum charge is $.83 but increases with additional weight. In addition, any letter size envelope weighing over 1 ounce will require additional postage, $.17, per ounce.
