Tampa FL — The U.S. Postal Service today recognized CCS Medical with its Strategic Business Development Award for the company’s commitment to a successful business partnership with the Postal Service. A select group of Postal customers is acknowledged and recognized for their contributions to the continued success of the mailing industry at the annual National Postal Forum.
The Strategic Business Development Award, one of three “best in class” awards presented annually at the Forum, recognizes customers who have kept pace with technological advances. They're the innovators. They embrace new technologies and implement best practices to improve efficiency and productivity in their mail operations. They're always working to improve their operations and provide customers with a mail product that delivers increased value and business results. And the mailing industry benefits overall.
CCS Medical wanted a single source for residential delivery of its pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Working with their Postal partners they were able to develop standard operating procedures that met their unique and specific mailing needs at each of their 5 distribution sites with the possibility of adding other sites in the future.
CCS was nominated for this award by Terry Wilson, Vice President, Southeast Area.
“We are pleased to recognize and honor CCS Medical for its innovation, creativity and leadership,” said Terry Wilson. “By developing processes for Express Mail and Priority Mail manifesting and Permit Imprint accounts for all of the company mailing sites, CCS produced winning business results and supported the mailing industry.”
Additionally, Andrew Goldberg, president and CEO, Publishers Clearing House (PCH), personally accepted the Postal Service’s 2009 Partnership for Progress Award. As one of the true pioneers in the mailing industry, PCH has developed many of the innovations direct mailers use daily, including mail personalization. PCH perfected the art of making targeted offers based on customers’ prior purchases, as well as using sweepstakes to draw customers’ attention to those offers.
The National Postal Forum is the mailing industry’s premier educational venue, trade show and networking event for industry professionals. Since 1967, it has provided business mailers with ongoing training and education, and helped them keep pace with the mailing industry’s rapid growth.
