Miami FL—Two weeks ago, Miami Letter Carrier Georgina Pacheco was viciously attacked by a pitbull.
Today Pacheco is recuperating at home and wants to thank the community for their prayers and good wishes.
Pacheco was delivering mail in the 3600 block of SW 24th Terrace in a residential Shenandoah neighborhood when the dog attacked her. According to police, the dog pounced on Pacheco, biting her twice, once on the hand and another time on her chest.
“It was a very frightening experience; I am grateful to be alive,” said Pacheco. “I sincerely appreciate everyone who has expressed concern for my well being. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
