USPS Announces Labor Day Holiday Weekend Schedule

Pembroke Pines FL — South Florida Post Offices will operate under adjusted hours for the Labor Day weekend.

All Post Offices (retail and delivery operations) will be closed Monday, September 5, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. There will be no mail collections or regular mail deliveries on the holiday. Express Mail will be delivered over the three-day holiday weekend.

Some Post Offices regularly open on Saturday will be closed or will close earlier than scheduled on Saturday, September 3. Postal customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS (800-275-8777) or use the “Locate a Post Office” feature at www.usps.com, for Labor Day weekend operations and to locate Post Offices remaining open on Saturday, September 3.

On Saturday, September 3, there will be regular mail delivery, including to Post Office Boxes, as well as regular mail collections.

Postal customers are reminded that the Post Office is always open at www.usps.com. Postal products also are available at many retail outlets, grocery stores, office supply chains and pharmacies. Postal customers can usually find dozens of locations to purchase postal services within their neighborhoods by visiting an interactive map at www.uspseverywhere.com and typing in their ZIP Code. Using a simple icon guide designating stamps, shipping and packaging, PO Boxes and other services, customers can easily navigate to retail outlets, grocery stores, Automated Postal Center (APC) kiosks and Post Offices, among other options.

Regular Post Office retail operations and mail delivery service will resume on Tuesday, September 6.
