Background:

As Postmaster of Melbourne, Diane K. Tindle oversees Postal Service operations in 14 cities: Melbourne, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Fellsmere, Grant, Malabar, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Sebastian, Vero Beach, Sharpes, Roseland and Wabasso. She is responsible for operations at 31 facilities and oversees 1,231 employees. She oversees mail delivery to 332,150 residential and business addresses, as well as 19,868 P.O. Boxes.

Tindle will be sworn in as the 18th Postmaster of Melbourne.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
