Background:

United States Postal Service honors postal employees who have demonstrated heroism or extraordinary community service.  Letter Carrier Greg Davis noticed an elderly customer on his route had not picked up her mail in several days. He contacted the family and assisted the Deputies in entering the home by controlling the customer’s dog.  The customer was taken to the hospital and was able to spend her final three days with her family and in comfort. The family is very grateful that Letter Carrier Davis keeps a watchful eye on his customers.
