
INVERNESS, FL — Inverness Post Office will hold a special dedication ceremony for the Gulf Islands National Seashore Forever Stamp as one of 16 National Parks Forever stamps being issued to celebrate the National Park Service on its 100th anniversary. The stamp image is a photograph of a heron by John Funderburk of Hernando, FL. Mr. Funderburk photographed the heron at Gulf Islands and will be attending the event.
The event will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28 at the Inverness Post Office, 1400 Hwy 41 N, Inverness, FL 34450.
The 150-mile stretch of seashore, which runs from Cat Island in Mississippi to Santa Rosa Island in Florida, offers majestic blue water and many beautiful beaches. Visit this link for more information.
