Tallahassee Postmaster to Take Oath of Office August 17

Tallahassee, FL --- Tallahassee Postmaster Edward L. Miller officially  will be sworn into office Wednesday, August 17, at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum Rotunda, 400 S. Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL. The public is welcome to share in this career milestone celebration as Gulf Atlantic District Manager David Martin administers the Oath of Office to Miller at 11:30 a.m.

As Postmaster, Miller has overall responsibility for 350 employees who work in five stations and two retail units. These locations include 9,645 Post Office Boxes. His territory includes 15 ZIP Codes: GMF Station 32311, 32314; Park Ave Station 32302; Leon Station 32301, 32315; Lake Jackson 32303, 32312, 32318; Westside Station 32304, 32310, 32316, 32305; and Centerville Station 32308, 32309, 32317 --- covering 117,013 residential deliveries and 8,888 business deliveries for a total of 125,901 deliveries.  

Miller began his postal career in Missouri in1994, and during his 22-year career, has been promoted to several managerial positions of increasing responsibility. 

“As Postmaster, I pledge to work with our dedicated employees to provide the outstanding service that our customers have come to expect and deserve from the Postal Service,” Miller said.
