TAMPA FL – As Hurricane Matthew approaches Florida, the Suncoast District of the U. S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced suspension of additional delivery and retail operations. Post Offices with ZIP Codes beginning with the first three digits 329, not listed on the previous press release, will close at 3:00 p.m. today and mail delivery will stop at 3 p.m. today.
The Orlando Post Offices listed below will close at 5:00 p.m. today:
Orlando Main Post Office, 10401 Post Office Blvd., Orlando FL 32862
Alafaya, 650 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando FL 32878
Sand Lake, 10450 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando FL 32819
South Creek , 1701 Wetherbee Road, Orlando FL 32837
All Post Offices in ZIP Code areas beginning with 321, 327, 328, 329, 338 and 347 will be closed on Friday, October 7, 2016 and mail will not be delivered. All Post Offices in the Suncoast District are scheduled to resume normal business hours on Saturday, October 8 and mail delivery will resume.
Postal officials will continue to monitor Hurricane Matthew and make operational changes to ensure the safety of employees, customers and the mail.
