TAMPA FL — Today the Postal Service resumed mail delivery and opened many of the Post Offices in areas with ZIP Codes beginning with the first three digits 338. Postal officials are asking customers to remove debris from the path to their mailboxes so that mail delivery can be made.

All Post Offices in ZIP Code areas beginning with 321, 327, 328, 329, and 347 are closed today and mail will not be delivered. All Post Offices in the Suncoast District are scheduled to resume normal business hours tomorrow, Saturday, October 8, and mail delivery will resume.

Customers should call 1.800.ASK.USPS for alternate Post Office locations, or visit the Postal Service website — usps.com —like an online Post Office at your fingertips, and open for business 24/7. The Postal Service’s smartphone app makes it even quicker to use the most popular functions on usps.com, anytime and anywhere.

Postal Service employees are asked to call the USPS National Employee Emergency Hotline at 1.888.363.7462 for updated work reporting information.

The Postal Service will observe the Columbus Day Holiday on Monday, October 10.  All Post Offices will be closed.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
