MIAMI, FL — South Florida Post Offices will be open for business on Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24, and on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31. There will be regular mail delivery on both dates.
Business customers are asked to check with their Business Mail Entry Units for specific information about holiday hours of operation.
All customers are reminded to check schedules posted on blue collection boxes for final collection times on Saturday, Dec. 24, and Saturday, Dec. 31.
Customers also may call 1-800-ASK-USPS for additional information.
Because Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Sunday this year, Post Offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2, the observed federal holidays. Only Priority Mail Express will be delivered on the actual holidays, as well as on the observed holidays. All Post Offices will be open, and regular mail delivery will resume, Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
