The drill is not open to the media or the public.  The drill will not disrupt mail service.  Customers will have access to the Post Office Retail and Post Office Box lobbies, Credit Union and Passport Office.  The Business Mail Entry Unit (BMEU) will also remain open and regular mail delivery operations will continue.

Postal customers and residents in the area can expect to see numerous police, fire and emergency response vehicles near the Post Office on Monday, August 22, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
