Fort Lauderdale, FL — The Postal Service continues to restore service to our customers.  As an integral part of the communities we serve, the Postal Service is continuing recovery efforts every day, so we can reconnect our customers and businesses with their mail.  All major mail processing infrastructure is up and running and the mail is moving. Most of our Post Offices are open for business and we are delivering to homes and businesses, wherever it is safe and accessible to do so. We are committed to serving our customers in South Florida, as recovery from Hurricane Irma continues. We remind our customers to visit About.usps.com/news/service-alerts for the latest service information.

“I could not be more proud of our employees during this weather event,” said South Florida District Manager Jeffery A. Taylor. “I greatly appreciate each employee’s commitment to our postal family and to our customers as we continue to evaluate our postal installations to ensure that each location is safe so that we may ‘deliver’ for South Florida.”

The U.S. Postal Service’s priority continues to be the safety and well-being of its employees and customers, and service is being restored as quickly as possible.
