Helen Post Office a special holiday postmark

HELEN, GA — The Helen Post Office, located at 7976 South Main St, is helping customers add some holiday flair to their mail by offering a special holiday postmark beginning Dec. 8.

Featuring Helen’s picturesque Alpine village, the postmark is available at the Helen Post Office Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Customers may also get the special holiday postmark on their greeting cards by doing the following:

  • Personalize a greeting card. Seal envelope. Print addresses on envelopes.
  • Put postage stamp on each card.
  • Mail all the greeting cards together in a larger envelope or Priority Mail box to:
    Helen Post Office
    7976 South Main St.
    Helen, GA 30545
  • To arrive before Christmas, mail the package no later than Dec. 10. After Dec. 10, please use Priority Express Mail.

Helen’s holiday postmark will remain available until Jan. 5.

To mark the occasion and as a show of customer appreciation, refreshments will be served at the Helen Post Office from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 8.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
