GAINESVILLE, GA — The U.S. Postal Service will relocate retail services of the Gainesville Main Post Office to a yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the current site, located at 364 Green St. NE.

The Postal Service plans to continue retail services in the current Post Office until the new Post Office is up and running. The Postal Service does not anticipate any impact to mail delivery to Gainesville residents and businesses. There will be no change to Post Office Box numbers or ZIP codes.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
