U.S. Postal Service to Hold Public Meeting in Decatur, Oct. 17

Meeting to discuss potential new postal retail services for the Market Square Post Office

Decatur, GA — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail services provided at the Decatur – Market Square Post Office, 2048 Lawrenceville Hwy., Decatur, GA 30033, to a yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing Post Office location.

The U.S. Postal Service will be hosting a public meeting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Market Square Post Office. Officials with the Postal Service’s Facilities Department will be there to share information and answer questions.

Postal customers, including those unable to attend the Oct. 17 meeting, may submit written comments to the following address 30 days afterwards:

The Postal Service will consider all comments prior to making its final decision.  All comments and recommendations received by July 30, 2018, will be considered.
