Pocatello Post Office to Offer Assistance to Last-minute Income Tax Filers on April 15

POCATELLO, Idaho — The Pocatello Gateway Station, located at 1750 Flandro Dr., will collect tax returns until midnight on Thursday, April 15 to assist last-minute tax filers. In addition, customers who print a mailing label before midnight, at Automated Postal Centers in Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Rexburg, will receive an April 15 postmark (see list of locations below).

Customers are encouraged to mail their tax returns early in the day, and check the collection times posted on each box, to ensure pick up on April 15. Correct postage is a must. First-Class letter-size postage is 44 cents for the first ounce and 17 cents for each additional ounce. If you use a larger envelope, First Class postage is 88 cents for the first ounce and 17 cents for each additional ounce. Customers wanting certification that their tax forms are received by the IRS, should mail them using Certified Mail Service/Return Receipt.

The following Post Offices have Automated Postal Centers. Customers using Credit or Debit cards & requesting a mail label will receive an April 15 postmark if the label is printed before midnight.
