Twin Falls Post Office to Offer Assistance to Last-minute Income Tax Filers on April 18

Additional ounce price to change to 20 cents beginning April 17

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – The Twin Falls Pioneer Station, located at 1376 N. Fillmore, will collect tax returns until midnight on Thursday, April 18 to assist last-minute tax filers.

Stamps can be purchased 24/7 using the Automated Postal Center inside the Pioneer Station, which accepts debit and credit cards. In addition, customers who print a mailing label before midnight at the Automated Postal Center will receive an April 18 postmark.

Customers are encouraged to mail their tax returns early in the day, and check the collection times on each box to ensure pick up on April 18. Correct postage is a must. Postal customers are reminded that some postage rates will change on April 17, including the additional ounce price for First-Class Mail, which will change from 17 cents to 20 cents. The price of a one-ounce First-Class Stamp will remain unchanged at 44 cents.

Postage for larger envelopes will continue to be 88 cents for the first ounce with the price of each additional ounce changing from 17 cents to 20 cents beginning April 17. Customers wanting certification that their tax forms are received by the IRS, should mail them using Certified Mail Service.
