Boise Post Office to Offer Assistance to Income Tax Filers on April 15

BOISE, ID – The Boise mail processing and distribution facility, located at 2201 S. Cole Road, will collect tax returns until 8 p.m. on April 15 to assist tax filers. In addition, customers who print a mailing label before midnight, at any of the eight Self-Service Kiosks in the Boise area, will receive an April 15 postmark (see list of locations below).

Customers are encouraged to mail their tax returns early in the day, and check the collection times on each box to ensure pick up on April 15. Correct postage is a must. First-Class letter-size postage is 46 cents for the first ounce and 20 cents for each additional ounce. If you use a larger envelope, First Class postage is 92 cents for the first ounce and 20 cents for each additional ounce. Customers wanting certification that their tax forms are received by the IRS, should mail them using Certified Mail Service.

Stamps can always be purchased through Self-Service Ship and Mail Centers, which accept debit and credit cards, and alternate locations, such as grocery stores and ATMs.

The following Post Offices in the Boise area have Self-Service Kiosks. Customers using Credit or Debit cards & requesting a mail label will receive an April 15 postmark if the label is printed before midnight.
