POCATELLO, ID — The Pocatello Gateway Station, located at 1750 Flandro Dr., will collect tax returns until 5 p.m. on April 18 to assist tax filers. The latest collection time on April 18 in the Idaho Falls area will be 4 p.m. at the Idaho Falls Post Office located at 605 4th St.
Customers who print a mailing label before midnight on April 18 at the Self-Service Kiosk inside the Pocatello Main Post Office located at 730 E. Clark St., or the Idaho Falls Post Office on 605 4th St., will receive an April 18 postmark. Self-Service Kiosks only accept debit or credit cards.
Customers are encouraged to mail their tax returns early in the day, and check the collection times on each box to ensure pick up on April 18. Correct postage is a must. First-Class letter-size postage is 47 cents for the first ounce and 21 cents for each additional ounce. If you use a larger envelope, First Class postage is 94 cents for the first ounce and 21 cents for each additional ounce. Customers wanting certification that their tax forms are received by the IRS, should mail them using Certified Mail Service.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
