KUNA, ID – Following a Sept. 13, 2017 community meeting, and review of all public feedback, the Postal Service has decided to proceed with relocating the Kuna Post Office to a yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing location.

The Postal Service’s current building is severely deficient in space for the current operation needs of the Postal Service. A new, larger facility is needed to better serve the Kuna community. A new location will provide a right-sized facility for both postal employees and its customers.

Sites will only be considered that are convenient and otherwise suitable for customers and that will meet all postal operational needs.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as are currently provided to customers at the existing location. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to continue services at the existing Post Office until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
