What: The Rockton Post Office will unveil the new 2010 Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet stamps. The sheet of commemorative stamps features photographs of 10 former sheltered pets – five cats and five dogs. This sheet of stamps is part of the Postal Service’s long-term commitment to raising awareness of important social issues. The stamps will be on sale at the event.
Who: Judy Olson, Officer-In-Charge, Rockton Post Office Mark Maxted, Sales & Service Associate, Rockton Post Office Officials from local animal shelters and trainers will be on hand to provide information about pet adoption and care.
Open to all participants visiting the Post Office. No special requirement, just a love for animals. When: Friday, April 30, 2010 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (stamp unveiling takes place at 10:05 a.m.) Where: Rockton Post Office 214 West Main Rockton, IL 61072
