CHICAGO, IL — The Haymarket Postal Store, 168 N. Clinton St., is closed for repairs after an electrical fire on Saturday.

There were no injuries (the facility is closed Saturdays), but some damage to postal equipment and supplies.

Repairs are ongoing, and the facility is expected to reopen later this week.

While the facility is closed, Haymarket customers may visit the Main Post Office, 433 W. Harrison St., or postal retail locations at the Thompson Center and Willis Tower. Customers may also purchase stamps and postage, and conduct other transactions, online at usps.com.

Haymarket Post Office Box customers will not be able to pick up their mail until the facility reopens. The Chicago Post Office regrets any inconvenience.
