Three Chicago Post Offices Open on Sundays During the Holidays

CHICAGO, IL — The following Chicago Post Offices are open on Sundays offering more convenience to help customers get their packages in the mail at a time that better fits their schedules. The following offices have Sunday retail hours:

  • Cardiss Collins, 433 W. Harrison St. 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Fort Dearborn, 540 N. Dearborn St. 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Graceland, 3024 N. Ashland St. 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A reminder that all Chicago Postal Facilities have one-stop shopping and also have the following items:

  • Gift Cards (Various stores cards, Visa, Master Card)
  • Greeting Cards
  • Money Orders
  • Decorative Packaging to suit all your shipping needs along with other products

Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes are available at no cost at local Post Offices and online at shop.usps.com. Postage, labels and customs forms can be printed online anytime using Click-N-Ship at usps.com/ship.   In addition to purchasing stamps and shipping packages, customers can use usps.com to buy mailing supplies, calculate postage, schedule free Package Pickup, track packages, submit Hold Mail requests and use the Premium Forwarding Service.

The Postal Service is also reminding customers that usps.com and its mobile version, m.usps.comcan help them reduce their stress this holiday season.  Customers can use the sites to buy stamps, ship packages and access Informed Delivery, a free feature that allows users to manage incoming mail and parcel deliveries.

To ensure timely delivery of holiday wishes by Dec. 25, the Postal Service recommends that cards and packages be sent by these suggested Mail-By Dates:
