Release No. 09-035

McCORDSVILLE, IN—The Post Office’s new location may be the best kept secret in town.

The new McCordsville, IN Post Office has opened at 7397 N 600 W, Suite 1000, in McCordsville Corner Shoppes, just one block south of its former location.

“The former post office building was not adequate to serve the needs of this growing community,” said McCordsville Officer-in-Charge Shawn Spells. “The new site is much more spacious, has plenty of parking and boasts a 24-hour lobby that will allow customers access to their post office boxes around the clock.”

Post office boxes are still available – application for rental can be made in person or online at www.usps.com.

Retail hours at the McCordsville Post Office are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
