Postal Schedule for Columbus Day

No Regular Mail Delivery, All Post Offices Closed

Columbus Day

KENTUCKIANA DISTRICT — In observance of the Columbus Day holiday, Monday, October 9, 2017, the Postal Service will adhere to the following schedule:

  • All Post Offices will be closed, however, the Louisville Business Mail Entry Unit will operate normal hours
  • No regular residential or business deliveries
  • Retrieval from blue collection boxes will be limited

Stamps are available at most grocery, pharmacy, and convenient stores. For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, visit www.usps.com, to print postage online or find the nearest self-service kiosk.

Although there will be no regular mail service, Express Mail is delivered 365 days a year.

The Kentuckiana District serves ZIP Codes 400-409, 411-427 in Kentucky and 471, 476-477 in southern Indiana.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
