KENTUCKIANA DISTRICT – On Monday, February 20th, many Americans will debate the correct punctuation for this non-widely observed holiday. Or will they?
Adding to the excitement for the consummate provocateur, the federal holiday is referred to as “Washington’s Birthday.”
While the controversy rages, the Postal Service will adhere to the following schedule on Monday, February 20, 2017:
- All Post Offices will be closed
- No residential or business deliveries except Priority Mail Express
Please note:
- Stamps are available at most grocery, pharmacy, and convenient stores
- For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, go to www.usps.com - print postage online or find the nearest self-service kiosk
The Kentuckiana District serves ZIP Codes 400-409, 411-427 in Kentucky and 471, 476-477 in southern Indiana.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
