
KANSAS CITY, MO — Deborah Woodrum will become the 36th Postmaster of Kansas City, MO at an installation ceremony scheduled for Friday, October 19, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Kauffman Foundation, located at Town Square, 4801 Rockhill Rd., in Kansas City.
Ms. Woodrum is a 31-year U.S. Postal Service veteran, who began her career as a city letter carrier in Kansas City, MO. Ms. Woodrum brings experience in Customer Service and Mail Processing operations.
Her experience includes assignments as postmaster, Des Moines, IA; manager, Marketing, Mid-America District; and Officer-In-Charge (acting postmaster) in both Cape Girardeau, MO and Shawnee Mission, KS.
Ms. Woodrum graduated with honors from Rockhurst Jesuit College in Kansas City, MO, studied abroad at the Institute of International Studies in Toulon, France, and has completed the Postal Service's Advanced Leadership Program.
The Kansas City, MO Post Office serves more than 200,000 customers, with more than 500 employees and 28 stations and branches.
