KANSAS CITY, MO — The U.S. Postal Service and the Kansas City-based Mid-America District are proud to announce that Christopher D. Rumbley will be officially installed as the new Postmaster in Atchison, KS. A brief ceremony will be held on Wed., April 23 at 9 a.m. at the Atchison Post Office,
at 621 Kansas Ave.

An eight-year USPS veteran, Rumbley began his postal career as a rural carrier in Longmont, CO. He brings experience in delivery and customer service, having served as a supervisor of both Customer Service and Delivery operations at Post Offices in Longmont, Lihue, HI and Cape Girardeau, MO. Rumbley also served as the Officer-in-Charge (acting Postmaster) at the Waimea, HI Post Office.

Rumbley is the 24th Atchison Postmaster since the Post Office was founded in 1855.

Born in Topeka, KS, Rumbley and his wife plan to make Atchison home, where they’ll welcome their first child in July.
