The Village Post Office is an exciting new concept for USPS. The Postal Service unveiled the Village Post Office concept last spring for consideration in communities which have no Post Office, have lost a Post Office, or to simply enhance community access to postal products . VPOs are designed for non-Postal Service establishments, such as an existing community business, town hall, or government center. VPOs provide a specific range of services that include the sale of First-Class postage stamps, Flat-Rate Priority Mail products, mail acceptance, and in some cases, Post Office boxes.
The Postal Service acknowledges the contributions Hinton Mills (Frank Hinton & Son, Inc.), owners Frank III and Adam Hinton who helped make this VPO possible. Business establishments interested in applying for a contract with the Postal Service to start a Village Post Office in their local community should contact vpo.inquiry@usps.gov.
