WEST POINT, KY – The West Point Post Office has been closed and mail delivery put on hold until an evacuation order is lifted for a 1.2-mile radius of the city following an explosion at the site of a train derailment.
There will be no mail delivery in West Point until further notice. West Point customers will be able to pick up their mail at the Muldraugh, KY Post Office, 114 S. Main St., beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 1.
The Muldraugh Post Office is open 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
The evacuation order also has impacted a portion of deliveries in Southwest Jefferson County. The following block ranges will receive no mail delivery. They include:

6700 Pendleton
13000 Kinross
6700 John Adams
13000 Snowden
13000 Horncastle
6900 Welford
13000 Greystone
13000 Laverton
1000, 11000 and 12000 Lower River Road
Customers who live on these affected routes can pick up their mail at the Pleasure Ridge Park Post Office, 6121 Greenwood Road, in Louisville.
The Pleasure Ridge Park Post Office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
